Mr. Roy Nieto is a co-founder of 4TellX and leading the marketing and business development segment of the company. He is an experienced entrepreneur with over 25 years in the education industry. In 1995, he founded SureScore, a college and test preparation company focused on serving school districts with high percentages of low-income/first-generation college applicants. As CEO of SureScore, he successfully expanded the company across multiple states and placed on Inc. Magazine’s Fastest-Growing Companies four years in a row. Prior to the education industry, Roy was drafted by the Houston Astros as a pitcher and played for three years in the minor leagues before beginning his college preparation career. He is originally from Austin, Texas, and married with two children, Montserrat and Pablo.
Dr. David Glahn, PhD is a co-founder of 4TellX and the leader of 4TellX cognitive assessments and reporting tools. He is the Director of the Tommy Fuss Center for Neuropsychiatric Disease Research at Harvard University Medical School. In addition, he directs the Early Psychosis Investigation Center (EPICenter) and the Neuropsychiatric Genetics Program (NPG). Dr. Glahn received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a post-doctoral fellowship the University of California at Los Angeles. Glahn has served as Co-Director for the Division of Neurocognition, Neurocomputation, and Neurogenetics at the Yale University School of Medicine, prior to joining Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. David is originally from Austin, Texas, and is married with two sons.
Dr. John Blangero, PhD is a co-founder of 4TellX and leader of the 4TellX data analytics and predictive models. As a pioneer in the world of predictive analytics and data models, John is a human geneticist currently ranked in the top 3000 researchers in history with over 51,000 scholarly citations. His research has been highly funded by the National Institutes of Health where he is reported to have obtained more than $64 million dollars in direct funding for genetic studies of common diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and psychiatric diseases. He is the Director of the Genomics Computing Center at the South Texas Diabetes and Obesity Institute, and also serves as Director of the San Antonio Family Heart Study initiative where he guided the construction of an 11,000-processor computer cluster MEDUSA, which is currently used for genetic research at the University of Texas RGV medical school. John is also an accomplished musician touring with groups across the United States and Italy.
Mr. Eric Shaffer leads the operations of 4TellX. He is an experienced entrepreneur with 30 years of experience managing technology projects. His career stared in 1990 at Dell Computer Company. In 2000 he founded Virtual Alert, later known as Global Secure Systems, that served Federal and State government agencies providing software solutions that were used to plan for and respond to large scale events such as bio-terrorism and natural disasters. In 2012 he joined Humann and built the founding systems that facilitated the rapid growth of that company that has been named to Inc. 5000 a very rare six consecutive years. Eric lives in Austin, Texas.
